ZTE Axon 7 A2017U Android Oreo Update comes to to US


Chinese Smartphone manufacturer, ZTE Axon 7 is receiving a new software update based on a latest Android Operating System, Oreo. ZTE has discontinued the the production of this most amazing budget-friendly Android smartphone, however, there are still millions of users of this phone available globally. User of this smartphone in the US start receiving the new Android Oreo update. 

ZTE Axon 7 smartphone was originally launched in the mid-2016. The phone was shipped with Android’s Marshmallow Operating System. The same device will be upgraded to the latest Android 8.0 Oreo operating system’s stable version in the April month, this year.

Interestingly, ZTE is dropping company’s own MiFavor custom ROM and replaced it with new Stock+ custom ROM. So for the users of this Axon 7 smartphone, the company has brought a lot of changes with the new update of its software. Unfortunately, you are not able to purchase this phone as it has been discontinued by the manufacturer. The company may come with its new edition sometime this year.

Some of the ZTE Axon 7 smartphone users in the United States are able to get the testing version of the latest, Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. The new update arrives with Android 8.0.0 with January 5 Security Patch on the device. So the new update will come as Stock+ update running on Android 8.0.0 for the Axon 7 smartphone users.

Sadly, there is no confirmation regarding the release date of the stable version of Android 8.0 Oreo operating system for the ZTE Axon 7 smartphone. The current firmware update of Android Oreo comes with a testing firmware as the beta version. However, the reports suggest that the company may release the final Android Oreo’s stable version in the coming April month this year. We are unsure whether this Oreo update will be released for the US variant only or for the global editions. Since, the ZTE Axon 7 smartphone is currently not discontinued from the production, the phone can be found on various online retailers. The phone carries a mid-range price tag of around €300 which gets you QHD AMOLED screen. The device is powered by Snapdragon 820 Chipset and has built-in stereo speakers.
