ZapStitch raises pre series A funding


ZapStitch-Feature-1stZapStitch raises pre series ‘A’ funding from well known venture capitalists Helion Venture Partners and Orios Venture Partners.¬†ZapStitch is a data integration platform allows companies to synchronize and move data amongst multiple cloud apps like Shopify, QuickBooks and Big Commerce etc., quickly and easily.

The company is eyeing in the category where several SaaS apps emerge and many companies move their business apps to the cloud platform, sensing this opportunity ZapStitch like companies have made into foray of cloud platform. ZapStitch automatically sync data between cloud applications, connect them, integrates the applications.

On an average ZapStitch connects five to eight cloud based business apps with various functions like e-commerce, accounting, CRM, email marketing and help desk management. Most of the times data in all these apps are fragmented, time consuming and difficult to manage. Moreover these applications do not interact each other which proves disadvantage for any business. However ZapStitch address all these issues by providing easy to use play and play integration solutions.

ZapStitch-Feature-2ndBengaluru based company was founded in December 2013 by Satya Padmanabham D and Ravi Madabhushi. Satya has graduated in Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani) in 2004. He started his career as software engineer in Oracle India in 2004. He worked with the company for 10 months and moved as Senior Software Engineer in Informatica in March 2005. He was key member of data integrations and tools development team. Satya designed and implemented Power Center, a flagship product of Informatica. He has 27 months stint in the company.

In March 2008 Satya joined Yahoo as Technical Lead. He was responsible to build and manage news, sector news, and personal finance sections on He migrated several process of Yahoo Finance from the US to Indian development center, Bengaluru.

In July 2011 Satya co-founded YourBus, the company provided real time locations alerts to intercity passengers and bus operators. He was looking after sales, business development and fund raising. The company was acquired by

In December 2013, his co founded ZapStitch along Ravi Madabhushi. Ravi has graduated in Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. During his graduations days, he was awarded with Best Graduate Award for the batch 2002-2006 from BITS-Pilani. He received gold medal from CM of Andhra Pradesh for securing 96.7% in the board exams of 2002.

He started his career in 2006 as software engineer in Cerner Healthcare Solutions P Ltd. Ravi designed and developed an Administration Utility web app that holds the user preferences for the data entry web app used in Critical Outcomes web app. He worked in the company till February 2010.

In April 2010 he joined as an Engineer in Emulex and went on to become Senior Engineer in the company in 2011. He implemented API to fetch information regarding Emulex Adapters via VSphere Java API and CIM Providers. Ravi designed and developed a flat file based audit framework for all the changes user initiated on an Emulex adapter.

ZapStitch-Feature-4thIn June 2012, Ravi joined as Senior Software Engineer. He handled development of SeatSeller platform and worked with the Chief Technology Officer of the company. He went on to become Technical Lead in redBus in 2013. He left the company February 2014 to join Satya in founding ZapStitch.

ZapStitch has received 3 rounds of seed funding till now. They got first seed funding in May 2014 for $100K from Anupam Mittal and got an undisclosed amount from the Anupam as second funding with 23 days. The company received seed funding of $2 million from Orios Venture Partners and Helion Venture Partners on May 12, 2015.

ZapStitch is focused on the SMB market, currently focusing on the US, Canada, and the UK and Australian markets. Companies like Juno Power, Lux Lampshades and FlatLine Repair to name a few.
