Initially, WhatsApp only allowed users to share images and videos. Later on, Facebook acquired WhatsApp Messenger and then they have introduced a few other features such as Voice calls, Video calls, file sharing of documents, group images and more. And now, WhatsApp is all set to send all types of applications to your friends and relatives.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is rolling out a new update of their existing app for iOS, Android and Windows Phone platforms which will allow different types of files within the WhatsApp messenger. Yes, you can even send APK files of the apps from within the Messenger.

Before this update, we all have to use external sources like cloud platforms to share such files. We have to upload the files to such platforms and then have to share the links so the recipient can download that particular file. With this update, sharing of such files will be easier and users will be allowed all types of files right within the WhatsApp Messenger.

Furthermore, the update will allow you to share images without compressing. iOS users will be able to send a file of maximum 128MB in size while the limit for those using WhatsApp om Android devices is 100MB. Maximum size limit for web/desktop version is just 64MB.

Following tweets of the users will give you more insights of this new feature of the WhatsApp Messenger. Do check it out for yourself and decide whether this will be useful or not.
