The Chinese Electronics giant, Xiaomi has been working for their own Chipsets to power in the new Xiaomi devices in future. Today, Xiaomi’s new Chipset named Surge 2 leaked online. The Surge 1 Chipset was introduced in last year February month. After complete one year, the company is going to introduce the new Surge 2 Chipset in the market.
A fresh leak spotted on a popular Chinese microblogging website, Weibo. The leak suggests that the new generation and a successor of Xiaomi’s Surge 1 Processor is on its way to launch. The reports claim that, this new Surge 2 Chipset could be announced at MWC 2018 in Next month at Barcelona, Spain.
According to reports, Xiaomi’s new Surge 2 Chipset will be powering the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6X smartphone. This phone will be launched with a different name in the global market with Xiaomi Mi A2. The Surge 2 Chipset is built in with TSMC 16 nm process.
If we talk more about this Chipset, the Surge 2 Chipset by Xiaomi could be the company’s mid-range SoC. The Surge 2 will be running at 2.2 GHz with an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A73 cores and at 1.8 GHz with four Cortex-A53. The Chipset will support the GPU Mali-G71 MP8. The Surge 1 was supporting Mali-T860. Reports also suggest that, Xiaomi will partner with Huawei for the next generation Chipsets. The giant will reportedly use HiSilicon Kirin 960 from Huawei to develop this new Chipsets.
Furthermore, the new Chipset will also support LPDDR4 memory. And the latest UFS 2.1 storage standard to store the data on the devices.
Shockproof case of Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi 6X smartphone leaked online which suggests that this phone would be powered by company’s own Surge 2 Chipset. The leaked render suggests that the Xiaomi’s Mi 6X phone which comes with an 18:9 screen aspect ratio. The phone will come with thinner bezels at sides.
Apart from this, the phone will also feature a dual camera setup at the back panel. The dual cameras on the phone are placed vertically equipped with an LED Flash light to take photos in various conditions. The Camera setup will be located at the upper left corner. Additionally, the phone will also feature a Fingerprint Scanner at the back panel. The Fingerprint Scanner on the phone is located at the middle of the phone just like other smartphones.
If we talk about the predecessor, the Mi A1 or we can say the original Xiaomi Mi Mi 5X phone runs on Android One program. We are yet to receive confirmation from the giant whether this new phone to run on the same Android One program as Google has also not spoken anything regarding this yet.
This is just an assumption or we can say that a fresh rumor regarding the new generation Chipset from Xiaomi i.e. Surge 2. We don’t have any further information regarding this Chipset. We don’t even know whether they unveil this new Chipset at MWC 2018 or not, however, tech experts and other sources claim that the company will definitely unveil this new Chipset at MWC along with a couple of new smartphones.
Many popular smartphone giants have been working for their future smartphones and other tech products to unveil at MWC 2018. Giants like Samsung to launch its new Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones along with the new Galaxy J8 (2018) smartphone at MWC. Apart from this, LG too may introduce an upgraded edition of its popular LG V30 smartphone.
HMD Global has also shared that they will come up with an Awesome product for the tech enthusiasts at MWC 2018. The company may launch its new premium smartphone, Nokia 9 in the market. Recently, we have spotted a render of Nokia 10 phone to feature five lenses on-board. Sony will also introduce the new Sony Xperia XZ Pro smartphone.
In a nutshell, we would get to see a bucket full of new smartphones from the upcoming Mobile World Congress which is held in Barcelona, Spain. All the smartphone manufacturers will take part here and they will introduced their future products during the conference.
