Xbox One Game Gifting is now available

By | October 2, 2017

Recently, Microsoft has released Free Xbox Games with Gold for October 2017 which allows the premium member to purchase popular games with discounted price tags. The same offer is also available for Sony’s PlayStation consoles. Today, Microsoft has added one more feature within the Xbox Insider Program. The new update allows you to gift online games within the Xbox One’s Online Store.

If you have ever wanted to gift an Xbox game to your friend or loved one but could not go with the physical copy of that particular game, you can send a game as a gift to your friend so he can easily get it downloaded and install on the respective system. This new option will be there if you have subscribed with Xbox’s Insider Program. The feature is available for Xbox One titles only which you can use within the Online Store.

Since you know, there are hundreds of games available which offer support for all the gaming consoles. Windows 10 games which come with such support will also be gifted within the Xbox’s online store. So you can even send Windows 10 games as well with this new program.

The official announcement from Microsoft regarding this online gifting facility is yet to be announced, however it seems that the feature is already live and accessible through the official website. In order to make use of this new feature, while navigating through the store, you will see Gift Option right there on the page. By exploring more of this feature, you will be asked to fill up the form by putting up some details of the person whom you want to share the gift.

Fortunately, you will be able to send the game as an email through your Xbox Live account. You will also be able to add a message and name within the email so that the people will know about you. The checkout option for this gifting feature is pretty simple and works like the normal purchase of the game. You just need to allow the things to go well, make payment and complete your transaction in order to gift a game to a recipient.

If we talk about the recipient whom you have sent the gift will receive a notification via email. Here, in the email he will get a 25 digits of prepaid code which is actually a redeemable code. This code will work via Xbox Live to your Microsoft’s account. Once done, you will be able to download the game just like you have purchased it from the official Microsoft Store.

Since there is no any official announcement from Microsoft regarding the new Gifting option available, we are not sure whether this feature is available to other nations as well. Microsoft will soon come up with an official announcement about this new gifting feature, they may even send a notification to all the users of Xboxs via email so that they can get to know about this new gifting services.

We will let you update if there comes any official statements regarding this new features in the coming days by Microsoft, until then, stay tuned with us.
