WhatsApp will allow you to re-download deleted images and videos

Yes, the Instant Messenger cum communication app, WhatsApp is now working on a new update that lets users re-download deleted images and videos. Fortunately, the update has rolled out to Android platform and the users of Android devices are now able to test out this new update on their respective Android devices. 

WABetaInfo has reported everything related to new WhatsApp update and its new features. As per their report, users of WhatsApp now able to download all kinds of files within the messenger such as images, videos, GIFs, voice notes etc. Earlier, the app didn’t have such functionality and the files disappear after 30 days of time period from the messenger. But this new update will lets you re-download the files from the messenger.

Apparently, the update now lets you re-download the files from the messenger. Keep in mind that the update only lets you download the deleted attachments only and there’s no way to get your deleted messages back again. If you accidentally delete the messages from the chat, you wouldn’t not be able to get those chat back again.

A few days back, WhatsApp has released an update allowing users to add hands-free voice notes and notifies users when you change your WhatsApp number to contacts. The IM giant has now update the app with the new ability that lets you get your deleted attachments back.

Reports suggest that, this is not a major update to the messenger app, however this minor update has silently been added to the app and it comes along with WhatsApp’s current version 2.18.110. If you delete the older data from the storage of your device, you will still be able to download the files from the chat once again. Previously, when you delete the images or any other file from the storage, you didn’t allow to get them back. However, with this new update, you will be able to get all those deleted items back to your storage from the Chat.

According to reports, WhatsApp will save all those files to their personal server for more longer time just for the users. As mentioned above, the new update already rolled out for the Android platform and it is expected to be launched for the iOS users very soon. We hope to see this update for iOS platform in the coming days.
