The payments feature in the WhatsApp Messenger will work through Unified Payments Interface much known as UPI. This clears the air and we could expect to see the stable WhatsApp update which will bring this Payments option to the messaging app officially. Being a beta update, users can see everything of this payments service but for now, the giant is not accepting the accounts and the bank accounts can’t be linked through this service for now.

Payments comes an as attachment to your WhatsApp Messenger. Whenever you want to send money through this service, you just need to select the Attachment button which you might be familiar with. In the Attachment section, you could see Document, Payment, Gallery, Audio, Location and Contact. Yes, there will be a new option as Payment available which you would see once you update the app.

Of course this service requires you to have your own UPI account. If you don’t know about it, the system will let you create one instantly. All you have to do is enter proper account number, your debit card’s details and you will be sent an OTP number. You need to enter the OTP number and then you will be able to create a password for the transactions using UPI service.

Many tech enthusiasts in the country are able to get this updated WhatsApp in the Beta version. You could easily find out how these features would look like in the above listed Screenshots.

The new WhatsApp update seems to be in the final stage of its release as the Payments option is being tested by a lot of WhatsApp Beta users around the country.

If this is to be true, then people would be able to easily transfer the money from one account to the another just by selecting the Payments option within the WhatsApp Messenger.
