Webware, previously known as PowerStores raises fresh funding



PowerStores eCommerce limited is gearing up to expand its business in North America. The company has rebranded itself as Webware.io. It has raised an unspecified amount in a fresh round of funding led by Toronto based Extreme Venture Partners and William Bissell to power up its growth. William Bissell has invested in this round of funding in his personal capacity.

Webware will use this fund to expand its businesses in North America aggressively, as the company is targeting over 30 million SMEs. It is Do It Yourself (DIY) platform that helps small businesses to make their online presence. Its technology have answers for every requirements, the small businesses need to make their online presence. It helps small business in designing and building websites and online stores. It can also help them in SEO marketing services and developing loyalty programs.

Cory York and Indrajit Chowdhury had started this company as PowerStores in 2012. The company had established its new office in Toronto this summer, which currently has 50 customers and 10 employees. It is planning to expand its sales and marketing team to support its new growth plan.
