Target to expand Next-Day Delivery Program to eight more cities

By | September 23, 2017

Target is one of the most popular online retailer which sells daily essentials for the United States giving tough competition to Amazon and other same kind of services. Target has its own Next-Day delivery program and now they are hoping to expand their next-day delivery program to eight more metro cities. This program will reach upto 70 million people which is like one-fifth of the U.S. population.

This service is very simple which anyone can avail to buy daily essential things such as detergent, toothpaste, pet food etc. You have to put the items to your cart by picking from the store and you will get those items delivered at the very next day at your doorstep by Target. As you know, Amazon has its own Prime program which also does the same thing.

Target is way ahead than the Amazon’s Prime service in terms of everything. Amazon requires a yearly membership to its Amazon Prime program. Additionally, you have to pay $5.99 per bucket if you choose the same day delivery program. While Target is charging you just $4.99 only and there is no any yearly membership required.

Through Target, if you order a bucket before 2 PM, you will get it delivered the following day while Amazon doesn’t offer such service. It takes almost 2 days to deliver your items.

If we talk about the cities where Target is going to start its Next-day delivery program is Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, St. Louis, and Washington, D.C and Baltimore areas. The service is currently available in Denver, Dallas-Fort Worth, and in Target’s hometown of Minneapolis, as per TechCrunch’s report.

Target Restock website has over 15,000 items to fill up in the bucket. There are all kinds of products available which you are using daily from the morning to evening. Starting from Cereal to papers, health products, baby products, personal care items, medicines, beauty products, shampoos, soaps and much more. If you live in the above three cities, you can use this service right away from the official website of Target.

You can fill up the bucket with as many items as you can upto 45 pounds. The tracker will itself measure the costing of the items and you can see it in real time once you add the items to the bucket.

As per the official statement by Target, “Guests need to keep daily essentials stocked, but finding time to buy them is tough — and it can be even more of a challenge when you’re talking about large, bulky items.”

In the meantime, the giant will expand its services to the above listed metros by the end of the October month. There will be more products to buy and to fill your bucket with in the coming days as the company is continuously expanding the number of its products available for daily needs. We would get to see improvements in the service in future. There will be an open market to explore for Target if they expand this service to more cities, so more people will get benefits from it.
