T-Mobile Supports eSIM for the new iPhones

Apple’s newly announced iPhones have made headlines in the technology world as they bring a number of advanced features for the consumers. We all love the new iPhones and want to use one of them. Well, the new iPhones are globally available and you can purchase it from the nearby Apple stores and some eCommerce websites.



The new iPhones were launched with eSIM support. In the United States, support for eSIM is already available from AT&T and Verizon’s networks. Today, T-Mobile has officially announced the eSIM for new iPhones.

T-Mobile has officially released an eSIM app for iPhones. The new app adds a line for the new iPhones which lets the users use T-Mobile’s network without inserting a little SIM. The eSIM service by T-Mobile is limited for prepaid users only. If you have opted the Postpaid connection from T-Mobile, you will have to wait for some time to start using this service.



According to insider’s report, T-Mobile has started this facility for the frequent visitors of the United States. Support for regular connection is coming very soon by the network. For now, they have launched their service for the prepaid users of the network.

How can I use T-Mobile’s eSIM? 

To use the eSIM on your iPhone, all you have to do is just install the updated version of T-Mobile’s app. This service is only available for the three new iPhones i.e. iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. Once you set up the app, you can choose from three different plans which are available for the prepaid users.

Plan 1: T-Mobile ONE Prepaid

T-Mobile ONE Prepaid plan offers unlimited voice calls, text, and data. You have to pay $70 for 30 days for using this plan on a respective iPhone. This plan is suitable for visitors who visit the country just for a few days.

Plan 2: Simply Prepaid 

Simply Prepaid plan comes with unlimited voice calls, text, and 10GB of LTE data. To opt for this plan, you have to pay $40 for 30 days. This plan is there for the people who use data more than voice calls.

Plan 3: Tourism Plan 



As the name suggests, this plan is dedicated to Tourists who visit the country for a week or so. This plan includes 1,000 minutes of voice calls, unlimited text, and 2GB of LTE data. You have to pay $30 for 21 days.

The company has openly said that they have launched these new eSIM plans for the visitors and travelers of the country. Fortunately, the existing customers of T-Mobile’s Prepaid can also make use of any of these plans whenever they needed. They just need to update their existing T-Mobile’s App and the plans will be available to use.

AT&T was the first Network to offer eSIM’s support for the new iPhones. Gradually, Verizon and T-Mobile have also updated their policies, and now offering eSIM support for the new iPhones.

Requirements for using eSIM on T-Mobile: 

Basically, it doesn’t ask for much to use the new eSIM plans on a new iPhone. Your iPhone needs to be running on iOS 12.1.1 to use eSIM service from any of the above-listed carriers in the United States. If your iPhone is not updated, make sure to update it and check the current iOS version of it.

The addition of eSIM support leaves Sprint as the only network which is yet to release the eSIM support. We can expect the same from Sprint in the coming weeks. Spring will soon come up with an announcement to launch the eSIM support for iPhones.
