Sony’s latest flagship phones, the Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact get their launch date in the United States. Yes, both the devices are coming to the US very soon. Sony has officially announced their new Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact smartphones at Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona, Spain in the February month. Now, the phones are coming to various markets around the world.
Both the variants, the Sony Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact will be available for pre-order online through Best Buy from April 13th through April 19th. After receiving the pre-orders, Best Buy to start the shipping of these devices from April 20 around the country for the consumers who have pre-ordered the devices.
The availability of these phones to Sony’x Physical Stores will be on May 6th. Apart from this, the other retailers around the country including Amazon will get these devices listed from April 20th.

Additionally, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact will be Verizon-certified phone, so you don’t have to think about turning up for any other major carrier in the United States. Unlike other Sony Xperia phones, the new XZ2 and XZ2 Compact feature Physical Fingerprint Scanner as an added security option.
Both the devices can record 4K HDR and 1080p super-slow motion video featuring HDR Display. If we talk about some other specifications, the Sony Xperia XZ2 phones are powered by Qualcomm’s latest, Snapdragon 845 Chipset. The same Chipset is available on Samsung’s latest, Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones. The phones come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Internal Storage Memory as default memory on the devices. You would be able to expand the memory storage of the devices by using an additional microSD card. You can make use of the second SIM card slot to expand the memory upto 400GB.
Furthermore, the devices come with IP68 Certification which makes them water and dust resistant. The displays are protected by Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The devices run on the latest, Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact is a cheaper variant of the line as it features a plastic back instead of Glass back on the XZ2. The XZ2 Compact smartphone comes with a number of different color options which would be the key selling point from the company of this device.
