Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium announced with 4K HDR display

Sony has made an announcement to its Xperia smartphone series with the new Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium. This is the top edition in the Sony Xperia XZ2 series i.e. XZ2 Premium. The company has officially unveiled the phone and we have the full list of its specifications. The phone carries a list of advanced technical features of an ideal premium range smartphones. 

Just like its previous Sony Xperia XZ2 phones, the new Premium edition also come with 4K displays. Yes, the display comes with 4K resolution. The displays also offer HDR support and a top-notch processing power. It also comes with a “Motion Eye Dual” camera setup with advanced charging support and much more on-board.

As far as the specifications of this phone are concerned, the new Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium smartphone sports a 5.8 Inch 4K HDR display which comes with 2160 x 3840 Pixels of screen resolution. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s latest, Snapdragon 845 Chipset which is available in most of the premium smartphones of the current time.

Furthermore, it comes with a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of Internal Storage memory as built-in memory on the device. There is an expansion option also available on the device. You can expand the memory storage of the device by using an external microSD card.

On the camera front, the phone comes with a dual rear camera setup. The device comes with a combination of 19 Megapixel of Color lens and 12 Megapixel of black and white sensor. This is world’s only camera to come with highest ISO 12800 sensitivity for video recording in a smartphone. This offers excellent low light performance at user’s end.

Apart from this, the Primary Camera comes with ultra-sensitivity of ISO 51200 for photos. This camera is capable enough to give you perfect shots in low-light. The cameras on Sony’s Xperia XZ2 Premium smartphone is designed to offer premium shots at low light. In fact the cameras are there for low-light photography.

Additionally, the XZ2 Premium smartphone runs on an Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box. The device is certified with IP65/ 68 which makes it water and dust resistant and is a suitable device in most conditions.

The new Sony XZ2 Premium smartphone also features a Fingerprint Scanner located at the back panel. The physical scanner is located at the same place like other smartphones at the rear panel. The device is backed up by a 3,540 mAh battery. It also comes with Qi Wireless Charging support to recharge the device wirelessly.

If we talk about its design, the phone indeed looks like a premium range smartphone with its glossy glass back. The device has curves at the back at all edges for extra grip.

The smartphone will be available in the global market from the middle of the year. The Sony XZ2 Premium smartphone to be available in two different color options, Chrome Black and Chrome Silver.

Moving on to its pricing and availability, the Sony XZ2 Premium smartphone will be available around the world starting from this summer. The details on its pricing is yet to be announced, however we can expect it to be a premium range smartphone just like the other Sony XZ2 smartphones line-up.
