Sony is a well known smartphone giant having a series of different types of smartphones. Sony’s Xperia series is most popular one in the world and pretty much all the Xperia devices have set their own benchmarks in the smartphones industry. Today, Sony has started rolling out a new firmware update for three Sony Xperia smartphones including Xperia XZ, Xperia XZs and Xperia X Performance.
Interestingly, the new firmware update is same for all the three devices. The new firmware update arrives with a version number 41.3.A.2.99. Well, it’s not a major update so you don’t have to go excited about the update if you are using any of these smartphones. But indeed, it’s a very essential update for each of the users of these phones.
The new firmware update is a security update for the Xperia XZ, Xperia XZs and Xperia X Performance smartphones from Sony. Along with the Security patch, the update has all the bug fixed with system improvements. The update brings the latest, March Month Security patch for all of these three devices. Sadly, there is no any information about the features and required information about this new security update for the devices as there is no anything listed on the screenshot. The Changelog will soon be available which would let us know more about this new security update for these popular Sony’s devices.
Sony has rolled out this update via OTA for all these three devices. So the update might take a few days of time to reach to your device. Have some patience for the update to pop-up. Being an OTA update, you would see a push notification regarding this update on your phone’s display. Once you see the notification, just select it out and you will see the above screen on your device.
There would be a Download button given at the bottom side of the page. Once you read everything well about the update, just hit the Download button to start downloading the new Firmware Update for a respective Sony’s smartphone. After this, you would be able to install the update to your device by double tapping on it.
Alternatively, you can also check for the new update manually right from your smartphones. Just go to your phone’s Apps menu and select the Settings option. After this, you just need to scroll down until you see About Phone option. Select it out and then click on to the Software update option. Here, you would see one more option, check for software option, select it out. The system will start checking for the new update and if the update is there, you will be able to update it to your device manually.
