Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ won’t charge faster than Galaxy S8 series, Certification reveals

Everyone is anxiously waiting for Samsung’s upcoming and new generation smartphones, Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones. The phones may unveil at the upcoming Mobile World Congress conference at Barcelona, Spain. Today, the phone has received Certification from China’s 3C. The Certification reveals that the Galaxy S9 series phones will not charge faster than the previous Galaxy S8 series phones. The certification shows the actual charging capabilities of these future phones from Samsung.

The Certification has listed down the variants of the upcoming Galaxy S9 phones with different model numbers. It features SM-G9600/DS for the China edition, SM-G9608/DS for the Taiwanese edition and SM-G9605/DS  for the Galaxy S9+’s China edition. All these phones will be introduced to you very soon. The China’s 3C certification reveals that al these devices will come with 5V/2A wired charging and 9V/1.67A/15W fast charging functions.

If we go by the previous smartphones from the same company like Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ and Galaxy Note8, the charging capabilities of the upcoming Galaxy S9 phones will be similar and there is no any further improvements we can see from the certification. So it clears that the new generation Samsung phones will not charge faster than the previous editions of its Galaxy S series.

The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphone comes with 3,000 mAh of battery capacity which charges really faster, so there’s nothing bad about the current fast charging capabilities on the phones. However, being a new generation phones, people could expect something more to amaze them as these would be the high-end premium smartphones of the future.

Currently, Galaxy S8’s 3,000 mAh of battery fully charges in less than 100 minutes which is indeed good if we compare to other smartphone’s fast charging feature. So you will at least get the same charging speed on your Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones.

Previous leaks and sources suggest that the upcoming Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphone will carry the same batteries like the predecessors. The Galaxy S9 could feature a 3,000 mAh of battery while the Galaxy S9+ could feature a 3,500 mAh of battery capacity with fast charging support.

Chinese Certification Agency, 3C has cleared these Galaxy S9 duos. The phones have also passed through FCC in the United States. Now, we have to see the phones to pass the TENNA’s listing which should happen in the coming days. This listing will reveal more about the phones and their key specifications. So we should wait for China’s TENNA listing for more information regarding this upcoming premium devices from Samsung.

Previous leaks suggest that, Samsung could announce the new Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 smartphones on February 26 at Mobile World Congress which is held in Barcelona, Spain, so it’s just one month away from getting announced officially in the market. Samsung could introduce its infinity display which would be more powerful than what you can see on Apple’s latest phones. The giant may come with a set of innovative features which you might never have seen before.

Apart from the Galaxy S9 phones, the company might also launch a few mid-range budget friendly smartphones in the event. They could launch the new Galaxy J8 (2018) smartphone as well. The giant is also working on in-display cameras which could be placed underneath the OLED panel of the future Samsung phones. We may get to see a glimpse of this new technology at MWC next month.

So folks, that’s what Samsung has to offer with its new Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones. We could see some more official information about these phones in the coming days before their official announcements. For that, you have to stay tuned with us!
