The South Korean giant, Samsung has officially unveiled the much awaited high-end premium smartphones, Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones at the Unpacked 2018 event in Barcelona, Spain at Mobile World Congress 2018. The main highlight feature of these phones are their new aperture cameras with multiple capturing modes. 

Samsung has taken enough care in designed these new generation of Galaxy S series smartphones i.e. Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. Both the devices have an attractive glass-sandwich design with aluminium frame. The phones have curved Gorilla Glasses with water proof body. The bezels are relatively smaller compare to the predecessors Galaxy S8 phones. So yes, there are many more new things to look forward in the new generation Galaxy S phones.



Samsung has acquired a different idea to design the hardware components of these phones. The new Galaxy S phones have new grille for the bottom speakers. They also come with an advanced Iris Scanner along with the Fingerprint Scanner as added security functions on the device.

There are a lot of similar features and specifications available in both the devices, however a few of them differ the devices from each-other. Being the new generation phones, Samsung provides an elegant design with a bunch of advanced technical features on the new Galaxy S9 phones.

As far as the specifications of these phones are concerned, the Galaxy S9 has a 5.8 Inch Infinity Super AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution. The Galaxy S9+ has a 6.2 Inch Infinity Super AMOLED display with the same resolution. So yes, the new generation Galaxy Phones feature the expensive AMOLED screens.

Both the devices are powered by the same processors. The new Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ phones are powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with Adreno 630 GPU and an Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 9 Series 9810 processor with Mali G72MP18 GPU. The devices will use Snapdragon 845 Chipset in China and North America. The Galaxy S9 comes with 4GB of RAM while the Galaxy S9+ comes with 6GB of RAM.



On the camera front, the Galaxy S9 phone comes with singular cameras at both the sides, while the S9+ features dual cameras at the back panel along with a selfie shooter camera with great photo-shooting modes.

The Galaxy S9 comes with a 12 Megapixel camera at the back panel as Primary Camera. The camera is located at the back panel. It is capable to use variable aperture for the perfect photography. It comes with optical stabilization, and dual pixel phase-detect autofocus. The Primary Camera also features a single LED flash light.



On the other hand, the Galaxy S9+ comes with a 12 Megapixel of main camera with 12 Megapixel of Telephoto lens with different aperture just like the Note 8 device, there are dual cameras at the back panel of the Galaxy S9+ smartphone which comes with OIS, and dual-pixel AutoFocus features.

On the front, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ have similar selfie shooter camera of an 8 Megapixel with f/1.7 lens. It comes with autofocus feature.

The phones support 4K at 60fps capturing with slo-mo feature to record a slow motion video out of the main cameras. It also comes with automatic event detection feature. The main camera app also comes with a lot of useful features such as one-click GIF, easy editing tools, more stickers and so many other things to explore.

The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones run on a latest Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with the latest Grace UX. The phones now come with AR Emojis with intelligent Scan security. This feature use the Iris Scanner to make use of the Face Unlock feature on the cameras. So yes, you can now use the Face Unlock feature on the Galaxy S9 duos with the help of the advanced Iris Scanner.

The new generation Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones will be available in different color options. The devices will be launched with Midnight Black, Coral Blue, Titanium Gray, and Lilac Purple in the market from the next month. The exact availability of these phones are yet to be announced.

If we talk about the pricing, the Galaxy S9 is expected to be priced at $719.99 and the Galaxy S9+ at $839.99. The phones will be available in the market from March 16, 2018. We would let you update with more information about pre-bookings of these phones on a later date.
