Samsung Galaxy S8 Spotted with Android 8.0 Oreo


Samsung’s recent high end smartphone to its Galaxy S series, Samsung Galaxy S8 was recently spotted with the new Android 8.0 Oreo Operating System. As you know, Google has released its new and highly anticipated Android 8.0 Operating System with a unique name, Oreo. Google has started rolling out this new Oreo update to its Google based smartphones already. The update is yet to be released for non-Google smartphones. 

Earlier this week, there have been news on that the giant, Samsung is working on an Android 8.0 Oreo update for its Galaxy S8 smartphone. And today, the same thing happened. The new Samsung Galaxy S8 was spotted on a benchmarking website, Geekbench. The update is not designed only for the Galaxy S8 smartphone, but it will also be available for the bigger sibling, Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus smartphone, however there is no any leaks about it appeared yet.

This listing shows the Galaxy S8 smartphone running on a latest Android 8.0 Oreo Operating System. So the testing of this new Oreo OS has already begun on the Galaxy S8 smartphone which hints us that the giant will soon released the Android 8.0 Oreo update via OTA to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus smartphones anytime.

As per the latest reports, the new Android update will start rolling out to the owners of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus smartphones from early November. Soon, the Oreo update will be available all around the globe by the end of this year, hopefully till the December month.

Apart from this Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus duos, the Oreo update will also be available for Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone in the same technology period. Unfortunately, the Oreo update will not be available for Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone as the phones have completed their two years of launch period so there will not be any official update available for these phones.

If we talk about the newly launched Galaxy Note 8 Phablet device, Samsung claims that the new Note 8 smartphone would be powered by Android 8.0 Oreo Operating System out-of-the-box.

As you know, Google has already allowed testers to test out the new Android 8.0 Operating System through its beta program, however the official name Oreo was not unveiled during the testing period. Many of the smartphones users have already installed the Android 8.0 update with the beta program and they are happily using it on their Android based high end smartphones.

If you are using a Google based smartphone such as Pixel or Nexus device, you can easily install the new Android 8.0 Oreo update to these smartphones. If we talk more about this update, HMD Global has also announced its new high end smartphone in the market, Nokia 8 which is running on an Android 7.1.1 Nougat Operating System. Previous reports had suggested that the Nokia 8 would be powered by Android 8.0 update, but it is launched with the Nougat update. The company has said that they are also working on the new Android 8.0 update for this phone. So, the Nokia 8 will also get the Oreo update very soon.
