Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to get the Oreo update from March 30

The South Korean giant, Samsung is yet to release the official Android 8.0 Oreo update for their Galaxy Note 8 smartphone. However, according to Samsung’s official Turkey website, the new Galaxy Note 8 smartphone will start receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo update from March 30. 

Samsung has delayed a lot on releasing the Android 8.0 Oreo update for their Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones as the company was redesigning their stock UI i.e. Experience. Samsung has officially rolled out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for Galaxy S8 phones a few weeks ago. The Oreo update for Galaxy S8 phones bring Experience 9 with a lot of customisable options and added functionality which makes the device even more powerful.

The official listing on Samsung Turkey website reveals more about the Oreo update for other Samsung smartphones as well including the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. According to official listing, other Samsung devices Galaxy A7 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A3 (2017) Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones will receive the official Android 8.0 Oreo update from March 30.

Meanwhile, Samsung is shipping their latest Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones with the latest Android Operating System i.e. Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. Interestingly, the giant has already rolled out February Month’s Security Update for the newly launched Galaxy S9 phones in the markets. When you start the new Galaxy S9 phone, there is a new update waiting for you.

If we talk about the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 smartphone, the device is currently running on an Android 7.1.1 Nougat Operating System. So the Galaxy Note 8 would be the next inline Samsung device to receive the official Android 8.0 Oreo update.

Additionally, Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone to receive the same Android Oreo update starting from April 13. The company will release the official Android 8.0 Oreo update for the devices in different phases with different regions around the world.

Furthermore, the other Samsung Galaxy devices including Samsung Galaxy A7, Galaxy A5, and Galaxy A3 will also receive the same Android 8.0 Oreo update in the coming weeks. All these devices were launched in the technology market last year i.e. in 2017. The devices are currently running on an Android 7.1.1 Nougat Operating System.

Samsung had stopped the newly released Android 8.0 Oreo update for their Galaxy S8 phones due to a glitch on the update. However, the giant has officially resumed the update for the devices and now the update has relaunched with a new firmware version and an updated Changelog.
