Oreo update for Galaxy S8 and S8+ resumes

Samsung has delayed a lot in order to launch the latest Oreo update for last year’s flagship smartphones, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The giant has pushed total four different Oreo Beta updates to test out new set of features on the devices to the testers and developers in the past. Recently, the stable Oreo update rolled out for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ devices. Due to some issues the update was stopped. Well, the good news is, Samsung has resumed the update on these devices.

The stable Android 8.0 Oreo update for Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones now available and resumes in Germany as per the reports. There were a lot of people who claimed to have some bugs issues on their respective Galaxy S8 devices after upgrading to the latest stable Oreo update. For that reason, Samsung has completely stopped the update for the devices to fix all the issues available in the update.

As per latest reports, users of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones start receiving the official Android 8.0 Oreo update with Experience 9 on top of it.

The new Oreo update weighs around 500 MB in size for those who have already updated their Galaxy S8 phones with the previous Oreo update. Users who have not still updated their devices with this update can get the update with 1.5GB of size. Being a major Android update, it weighs almost 1.5GB in size as it is also packed with company’s own UI called Experience 9.

Samsung has delayed the launch of this update because of this Experience 9 UI. The giant was working on their very own and unique Experience 9 update which is designed to work on Android 8.0 Oreo update. Experience 9 brings a variety of new features to the device and it will boost up the overall user interface of your updated Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphone.

Of course, you will get all the advanced and innovative features of the Android 8.0 Oreo update on your device after upgrading it. However, with the new Experience 9, you would get a whole new UI which will allow you to change themes of your device and to add more functionality to your home screen.

According to reports, the new resumed update of Oreo carries a firmware number  G950FXXU1CRB7 for the S8 and G955XXU1CRB7 for the S8+. Yes, the entire firmware version has been changed for both the devices. If you have already upgraded your device with the previous update, you need to upgrade it again with this new firmware update when it is available for your region.

Sadly, we are unsure about the exact release date of this new Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones to various regions as of now. The update has been found in Germany so more European countries will receive this update soon. The giant will soon come with a statement regarding this update in the coming days. We will have to wait for some more days for the update to pop-up on the displays.
