HMD Confirms Nokia 6’s Android Oreo Beta update is “around the corner”


HMD Global has just completed the official Android 8.0 Oreo beta update for the Nokia 8 smartphone. Now, the company is going to release the same Oreo beta update for the Nokia 6 smartphone as well. HMD CPO Juho Sarvikas has officially revealed that the Android Oreo Beta update for Nokia 6 smartphone is just around the corner. Yes, he took to Twitter regarding the confirmation of this new update for the budget-friendly Android device. So people who are using the Nokia 6 smartphone are more than happy as they will be able to upgrade their device with the latest Oreo platform.

A user asked to the official handle about the Beta update for the Nokia 6 smartphone and the CPO has revealed that the update is no so far as it is just around the corner. This confirmation reveals that the update can come to your Nokia 6 phone anytime by now.

If we talk about the previous updates, Nokia 6 phone got the Android 7.1.2 Nougat update a month ago with the new month’s security patch to make the device more secured. Now, the company is aiming towards the new update for the same phone and that is the latest Android 8.0 Oreo update. According to reports, the Nokia 8 phone will be getting the official stable update of this OS before the end of this year. However, there are some other reports which suggest that the Nokia brand will get the Oreo update in the early 2018.

As far as the specifications of this phone are concerned, the Nokia 6 phone is a budget-friendly Android device carrying almost all types of features of a high-end smartphone. The phone sports a 5.5 Inch full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. On top of the display, it has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection making the device scratch proof.

The phone is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 505 GPU. The phone is available in the market with two different variants, a 4GB RAM with 64GB Memory Storage and a 3GB RAM with 32GB of Memory Storage. The phone also features a Fingerprint Sensor onboard which is embedded on the home button at the front panel.

The Nokia 6 phone runs on an Android 7.0 Nougat Operating System and has a 3,000 mAh of non-removable battery.

If we move on to the camera side, Nokia 6 sports a 16 Megapixel of camera as the Primary camera which is located at the back panel of the phone. It has dual-tone LED flash light. The phone also features an 8 Megapixel of camera on the front panel. The front camera is good enough to take selfies and to make video calls through the phone. You can also record quality video through the front facing camera of the Nokia 6 smartphone.

Recently, OnePlus has also confirmed the Android Oreo Beta update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphone.
