HMD Global’s latest mid-range smartphone, the Nokia 6.1 is arriving in the US market this weekend. First launched in China in January month, the Nokia 6.1 is now making its way to more markets around the globe. Fortunately, the US market is getting the new Android One powered Nokia 6.1 smartphone starting this weekend.
HMD Global has launched their Nokia 6 smartphone last year in the mid-range category. The giant has introduced the new Nokia 6.1 which is an upgraded edition of the Nokia 6 smartphone. The upgraded Nokia 6 edition brings a lot of improvements to the functionality of the device. The new edition comes with a latest processor and Operating System.
The new Nokia 6.1 Smartphone runs on an Android One Operating System which is Android Stock update. You will receive regular software updates at the earliest on the device running on an Android One OS.
From the outer-side, the Nokia 6.1 edition carries kind of the same design like the original Nokia 6 smartphone. The phone sports a 5.5 Inch full HD display with 1080 pixels of screen resolution. The display comes with an aspect ratio of 16:9 which offers handy design. The device now adopts bezel-less screen which looks more attractive than the usual devices.
Furthermore, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 Chipset which offers smooth performance. The phone has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Internal Storage memory which is the default memory on the device.
The company has moved the Fingerprint Scanner from the front to the back on the upgraded edition. So you can easily use the Fingerprint Scanner on the device just like every other smartphone. The phone has now USB Type-C Charging port instead of a microUSB port.
Compared to the previous year’s edition, the new Nokia 6.1 packs with a bunch of improved features and processor which runs the device more smoothly. The set of improved specs make the device an ideal mid-ranger of the current time.
Being an advanced version, the phone carries slightly expensive price tag. The new Nokia 6.1 smartphone is now available for $269 whereas the original Nokia 6 smartphone was available for $229.
