Just to add some more security to save your personal account from various malware attacks and other viruses, Nintendo has introduce this new two-step verification layer to all the Nintendo Accounts. You can now use this new feature on your account for more security.
Nintendo seeks help from Google’s Authenticator to generate code in order to login to your Nintendo account. Once you enable this feature on your Nintendo account, you will be given a 6 digits code. You have to manually enter that code to your Nintendo’s login screen and once you enter the correct code, only then you will be proceed to access your account. Otherwise, you will not be able to login to your account. This way no bots can enter and can hack your account which is a good thing. Apart from this, they would also need an authentication from user’s mobile phone via generating a QR Code. You can choose the option which you like to go ahead.
If we talk about the other gaming platforms, this security feature comes along with them. Nintendo has made a decision a little late, however it is now available and you can start making use of it to add one more layer to your account’s security.
Sony has added the same two-step verification process a year ago via SMS. User will receive a Text message in order to enter or login to Sony’s PlayStation account. If we talk about the Steam, has email verification service for years. In order to login to your Steam’s account, you will receive an email to your associated email ID and this way you can easily login to your Steam’s account. This is also a very secured way to login to a particular account. Steam has also introduced a new SMS login in the year 2015 for mobile platforms.
Furthermore, Microsoft has also added this security back in the year 2014 where users need to enter a code to login to the Microsoft’s account. We don’t know why Nintendo has come up with this new security feature for its users, however it is a good thing for all the users who have Nintendo’s account.
If you already liked this newly introduced feature for your Nintendo account, then you can head over to your Nintendo’s account and can enable this two-step verification from there right now.
