OnePlus is one of the most popular smartphone manufacturer in the world with a series of premium smartphones for the tech enthusiasts. The giant has a bunch of extra-ordinary smartphones for everyone. The company is now working for this year’s flagship smartphone, OnePlus 6. Apart from this, the older devices, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T receive new OxygenOS Open Beta updates with new functionalities.

Yes, if you have been using either OnePlus 3 or OnePlus 3T smartphone, a new OxygenOS Open Beta update is awaiting for you on the device. According to reports, the OnePlus 3 receives OxygenOS Open Beta 32 and the OnePlus 3T is receiving the OxygenOS Open Bata 23.

The new OxygenOS Open Beta updates add a variety of functionalities with new features to the device’s actual User Interface. Both the firmware updates are identical and they bring the same set of features and functions to the devices. So there is nothing different between these two updates as they bring the same UI to the devices.

You might have been wondering about the Oreo 8.1 update with this OxygenOS Open Beta update, but unfortunately, there will be no any Android 8.1 Oreo update pushed to your devices and you have to stick with the Android 8.0 Oreo update for some more time. The company has recently pushed the Android 8.1 Oreo update for OnePlus 5 smartphones including OnePlus 5T. So hopefully, we would also get the same update from the giant for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T phones in the coming weeks.

If we talk about the new features, the update adds new phone answering gesture that will automatically pick up the incoming calls. When the phone rings, all you have to do is just raise your phone to the ear and the phone will be picked up automatically with the help of the gesture. This is quite an interesting yet a useful feature which doesn’t require you to pick up the call manually.

Apart from this, there is an update for the Gallery app on the devices. The new Gallery app brings new design for Collections tab. There is a new recorder option available for the collections tab as well. It also brings recently deleted collections tab. So all in one, the new update brings the same functionality like Google’s own Photos application from where you can even put back the deleted items from the dedicated section.

Additionally, the company’s own migration app, Switch has also been updated to a new version. The new Switch app will now transfer the data from an older device to your own device instantly. The updated app makes the data transfer need a seamless experience as it doesn’t require any setup procedure and you can instantly transfer things between the devices.

Furthermore, the new OxygenOS Open Beta update also brings February Month’s Security Patch to the devices. Yes, the new security patch is now available with the new update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphone which makes your devices more secured. And of course, the update fixes all the general bugs and minor errors from the device. It brings a lot of improvements to the system and its functionality which makes this update an essential phone for both the devices.

Well, the new OxygenOS Open Beta updates are there with Beta builds for the testers and developers. The company will take some time to push the public builds for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphone in the coming weeks.
