Moovo, On-Demand Logistics Startup acquires GoGoods

Moovo, Delhi based On-Demand Logistics Platform has acquired another startup in similar domain to expand its reach into the states of Bihar and Jharkhand. The acquired startup, GoGoods, based out of Patna, will see its 5 member team joining Moovo post acquisition. The deal is an all-stock one, details of which have not been shared.

GoGoods was started by Anurag Satyarth and Nishant Kumar. It is an online aggregator for bigger commercial vehicles including trucks and tankers. It provides services in Ranchi and Patna to the industrial clients to move bigger sized shipments. The aggregated sample space is pretty decent yet, as the startup claims to have around 500 trucks on the platform owned by various companies and individuals. It was started in 2014.

On the other hand, Moovo also started operations in 2014, however, it has seen a great amount of traction lately. Claiming a fleet of over 7000 vehicles, it provides commercial vehicles in all categories including tempo, mini-truck and bigger trucks. It takes orders via call center, website or the mobile app and provides both, intercity and intra-city transport. Currently operating in Delhi, Kolkata, Kanpur and Bhubaneswar, it claims to send the booked vehicle in under 30 minutes.

Moovo claims to be a profitable startup at the moment and it charges in the range of 5-15% of the total transaction value. It had raised seed funding from YouWeCan Ventures last year and hopes for more acquisitions in the coming time to register a nation wide presence.
