LG X4 with LG Pay launched in South Korea


LG has unveiled the LG X4+ smartphone in Korea in the January month of this year. Today, LG Electronics officially announced the new LG X4 smartphone in South Korea. The new affordable LG’s smartphone is packed with a bunch of extraordinary features. The new LG X4 smartphone features company’s own digital payment service, LG Pay which comes as a default app on the device.

If we talk about the specifications, the new LG X4 smartphone sports a 5.3 Inch HD IPS display with 720×1280 pixels of Screen Resolution. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 SoC. It packs with a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage memory option. Fortunately, you can even expand the memory of the device upto 2TB by using an external microSD card.

According to LG’s Director of Mobile Marketing, “The LG X4, which features LG’s unique convenience features, will be a great alternative for customers looking for a mid-priced smartphone.”

The X4 runs on an Android 7.1.2 Nougat Operating System out-of-the-box. The device is backed up by a 3,000 mAh of battery capacity.

On the camera front, the LG X4 comes with an 8 Megapixel of rear camera as Primary Camera on the device at the back panel. On the front, it features a 5 Megapixel of selfie shooter camera or we can say the Secondary Camera of the device. You can take perfect selfies and can make HD video calls through the front facing camera. You can even record a quality video through the camera.

Being a budget friendly phone, the device offers almost all types of connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, FM Radio, and Micro-USB. Talking about the measurements, the device has 148.6×75.1×8.6mm and the weight is 164 grams. The device looks pretty handy and comes with an elegant design at the same time.

The phone also features Fingerprint Scanner which is located at the back panel of the device. The Fingerprint Scanner helps you to secure your device by adding your own Fingerprints. You will also be able to take selfies just by touching on the sensor. Since the device comes with builtin LG Pay service, you can even authenticate this service through Fingerprint Scanner. LG Pay partners with three different company’s including Shinhan Card, Lotte Card, and Hana Card. The company may add more partners in the coming days.

If we talk about the pricing and availability, LG has announced this phone in South Korea at a price tag of KRW 297,000 which makes it land into the mid-range smartphones category. The phone is already up for sale through three different carriers of the country.

The new LG X4 smartphone is available in two different color options, Black and Gold. The company might also add a couple of more color variants of this device in the coming months.
