LG Electronics is preparing for the launch of their upcoming premium smartphone called LG G7 ThinQ. A couple of days ago, a promo image of LG G7 got leaked showcasing the device from the front. Today, a new report just came in which suggest that the new LG G7 ThinQ will come with a dedicated Google Assistant button.

We have seen the same button to get quick access to virtual assistant on Samsung’s smartphones coming with a dedicated Bixby Voice Assistant’s button. Now, LG is acquiring the same thing on their upcoming LG G7 ThinQ smartphone which would be featuring a dedicated Google Assistant Button at the side.

The phone will be unveiled officially on May 2nd. Many people and tech enthusiasts were confused upon seeing the extra button at side of the device. Many have claimed it to be a new feature for AI related tasks. However, lately, reports have claimed that this is nothing but a dedicated button for quick access to Google’s Virtual Assistant from the device.

According to reports, a new Google Assistant button will be placed at the left side of the LG G7 ThinQ smartphone. The power button will be on the right and the Physical Fingerprint Scanner will be at the back panel of the device.

Additionally, the Google Assistant on the LG G7 ThinQ smartphone will have special LG’s commands. You would be able to make use of this virtual assistant with special commands offered by LG. However, there is no any commands posted by the officials as of this moment. We would get to see more of their new commands in the coming days.

Apparently, the LG G7 ThinQ would be the very first smartphone to feature a dedicated Google Assistant button on-board. We have not seen any smartphone to come with such a functionality. As mentioned above, we have seen the Samsung devices featuring the dedicated button for their own Bixby voice assistant. Samsung has pushed out many updates to make their Bixby Voice Assistant advanced and user friendly with the given button.

There is no any information where you will be able to disable this button just like Samsung’s Bixby button or not. The giant will have special software updates for controlling this dedicated Google Assistant button on the device. They will push new software updates in the future for the same just like Samsung.

By providing a dedicated button of their Google Assistant, Google aims to attract more users towards their personal voice assistant. In face, people would love to access the Assistant more often when they have a special button for the same.

Google has been pushing its Google Assistant to as many devices as they can. The Google Assistant has already reached to televisions, smartphones, tablets, and speakers. The same is now compatible on many home appliances to take control of different devices using your voice commands only.

As you know, the company will announce the new LG G7 ThinQ smartphone on May 2nd in the New York, we would get to know more about this special Google Assistant button after that. Stay tuned!
