LG’s latest high end flagship smartphone, LG G6 spotted with the new Android 8.0 Oreo Operating System. Geekbench listing shows off the newly upgraded LG G6 smartphone with the same set of features and specifications. The listing confirms that the Oreo update is currently up with testing environment for the developers and it is being tested. The final update is yet to be arrived officially for this phone.

If we talk about LG, the company is very slow in upgrading their phones with latest Android updates. However, this time they look quite prompt as the new Android Oreo update is already up with the testing environment due to high competition in the smartphones industry.

Google has officially announced the Android 8.0 Oreo update a couple of months back for the Pixel and Google devices. The update is already live on Google based smartphones. Ahead of the global launch of this Oreo update, the new Android 8.1 Beta update is also now available for the people who have enrolled with Android Beta Program.

Other giants like Samsung and Nokia are also currently testing the same Android 8.0 Oreo update, for the smartphones. LG is quite good at upgrading their G series smartphones. Previous G series smartphones are also getting regular Android updates and now the new LG G6 is also getting the Oreo update in the coming weeks.

LG’s G6 smartphone is one of the best selling Android smartphone having a huge fan following over the globe. In fact, the entire LG G series phones are popular with their respective time period. The LG G6 is giving touch competition to other same range of smartphones as it is one of the best high end smartphones of the current time.

Talking about the listing and its scoring, the LG G6 managed a single-core score of 1858 and a multi-core score of 4137 running on an Android 8.0 Oreo update. The scores are pretty much the same with the LG G6 running on a Nougat OS. This makes it clear that the new Oreo update will not bring significant changes to your phone and its environment. However, the new Android 8.0 Oreo update will definitely bring a number of new features with top class specs on the device.

Some reports claim that, LG is planning to release this new Android 8.0 Oreo update for the LG G6 smartphone as soon as possible. Hopefully, we would get to see the new Oreo update on LG G6 smartphone before the end of this year. However, this might not be possible as other giants like Samsung and Nokia have decided to release it in the early 2018. So LG may also release the stable update for Android Oreo in the early 2018. Since there is no any official confirmation regarding the availability, we can not assure you about it as of now.

The new Oreo update will bring plenty of new features to the device such as picture-in-picture mode, auto-fill in apps, new set of emojis, notification dots, adaptive icons and some more enhancements to the overall performance of the device.

Apart from this LG G6 smartphone, the company may also release the same Oreo update for LG V series smartphones including the new LG V20 and LG V30. The giant will reveal everything regarding the new update in the coming days.
