Facebook owned photo-sharing cum social networking platform, Instagram gets a bucket full of new features to its native app. Today, Instagram has added GoPro and Spotify Integration to their app. The giant has changed its UI entirely and with a bunch of new features and integration to the Instagram app.
Instagram has announced this at F8, the Facebook annual developer conference. There is a new app integration option, video calling functionality and AR effects pushed to the app. There is a new anti bullying feature also added to the platform for the users. And a new explorer page lets you explore the best of contents through one single page.
If we talk about the app integration, the giant has added integration of GoPro and Spotify applications to its Stories feature. The new integration allows the users to share a particular song or an entire playlist on the Spotify for their friends. Or they can even share their adventure footage taken through GoPro direct on the Stories. The Stories section would be able to fetch the GoPro’s footage with the associated account and this is how it will be able to share the footages from there to your Instagram’s Stories.
In the coming days, Instagram to add more applications integration which doesn’t require the users to link up their accounts. The app would list down the apps which are integrated, and can easily fetch the data from the apps which are there on your smartphone.
Apart from this, there is a new Video Chat update also available. Until now, you were not allowed to make Video Chat within the Inbox on Instagram. With the new update, you will be able to make Video Chat with your followers and other accounts easily. The Video Chat feature also lets you make Video calls with a group of people. This feature is on a testing environment and the giant will roll it out soon for the public.
Additionally, the giant is also adding new AR effects on the application which would be using Augmented Reality technology. You would be able to use plenty of AR-based stickers or we can say face masks which you can use on your face while posting a new story or a snap on your timeline. The new AR Effects feature is rolling out in phases and you should see it at the earliest on the Instagram application.
Furthermore, there is a new Anti bullying feature introduced by Instagram just to keep your account secured from the bullies around. If someone is adding offensive comments on a regular bases to your photos, stories or any other items, you will be able to remove such bullies from the app. You can access this feature from Settings >> Comments.
In the coming days, we would get to see a lot of new and impressive features on the Instagram application. For now, Spotify and GoPro integration and the other above listed features are available to explore. Access everything well and do let us know how impressive they all are!
