HealthifyMe Raises $6 Million From IDG, Blume Ventures & Inventus


HealthifyMe, Bangalore based health & Fitness app has raised $6 Million in Series A round. The investment came from a few prominent names in Indian startup industry including IDG Ventures India, Blume Ventures and Inventus Capital.

HealthifyMe was founded in 2012 by Sachin Shenoy and Tushar Vashist. The main offering of the startup includes a program which helps people lose weight. The program consists of cloud based software services, Human assistance (nutritionists, trainers and yoga instructors to suggest various routines, exercises to the users) and takes the input from wearable devices. Currently, it supports almost all the fitness bands and boasts of having one of the largest databases of Yoga exercises and Indian food.

Speaking on the development, Tushar Vashist commented that the main aim of the startup is to promote healthy living and make it easy and accessible to all in the coming time. With the raised funds, we plan to impact over 5 million users as well as tie up with over 500 corporate and healthcare partners.

HealthifyMe has partnered with some of the biggest names in Indian healthcare industry including Medanta and Apollo to implement its app based treatment services and make use of the healthy database these brands boast of. It has raised a couple of rounds prior to the latest one.
