Earlier Today, Google has released its new month’s security bulletin for the Pixel and Nexus devices. The new update is here to fix everything including minor bugs and other software related issues on the Pixel and Pixel 2 phones. Fortunately, the new December Month’s Security update comes with CRACK Fix and a few other fixes.
Google has started rolling out December Security Patch update for Google based smartphones from Today. Google’s Pixel smartphones from both the generations are the first phones to receive this December Security update. So if you are using either Pixel or Pixel 2 phones, you will likely to receive a new security update for the devices officially.
In the United States, the new month’s security update is rolling out by Verizon to Pixel and Pixel 2 smartphone. All the other carriers are also releasing the update one by one to all the Pixel users.
Many of the Pixel smartphone users have claimed that they are facing KRACK Wi-Fi WPA2 security vulnerability on their Pixel devices. Well, the new December month’s security patch if fixing this CRACK issue on their phones. The new firmware is coming up with version number OPM1.171019.011 for the Pixel and Pixel 2 devices.
The new December Month Security patch for this Pixel and Pixel 2 devices just rolled out over-the-air. The new update will show up on the display as a push notification. So if you are using the Pixel devices, you will receive the notification to your display regarding this new update. Just click on to the update and install it to your device to upgrade it.
If you are unable to see any new update for your Pixel devices, you can even check for this update manually from the update. In order to check for the new update manually on your device, just go to the Settings menu of your phone by visiting the Apps menu. Scroll down and select About Phone option. Select Software Update manual option and the system will check for the new update itself. If there is any update available for your phone, you would see it. Just download the update and install it on your device by following simple instructions and your device will be upgraded with the new update.
Once you upgrade your device with December Month Security patch, all the issues related WiFi connection and other is fixed now.
Apart from the new updates, the giant is also working for the new Android update as the next update after releasing the Android Oreo update for almost all the high-end smartphones.
Google has recently released the new Android 8.1 Developer Preview 2 update for Pixel and Nexus devices. This is the last update to the Android 8.1’s Beta update which comes with Android 8.1 Developer Previews. The final update fixes plenty of minor issues including the designs of the Emojis and much more. Testers and developers are currently testing out this new Developer Preview of the Android 8.1 and now receiving feedbacks from them.
Google is likely to release the new Android 8.1 Stable update for the Nexus and Pixel devices in the early 2018.
