Google Photos lets Pixel 2 users to export Motion Photos as GIFs

Google has recently updated their popular Google Photos application with a handful of new features and functions. The new Google Photos adds Google Lens functionality for all the Android smartphones recently. And now, you can export Motion Photos as GIFs through Google Photos app on your Pixel 2 smartphones. 

Yes, the new updated Google Photos app now allows the users of the Pixel 2 smartphones to get a GIFs of their motion photos within the Smartphone. Fortunately, the new functionality on the Google Photos app already added to the platform.

You can simply start using this new feature within the Google Photos app on your Pixel 2 smartphones. The access is now available through Google Photos app on a respective Google Pixel 2 smartphones.

In order to access this feature on your device, just open the Google Photos app on your Pixel 2 smartphone and tap on to the three lined button given in the app at the upper side. Once you tap on to this option, a number of different options will be presented to you with a dropdown menu.

From the presented dropdown menu, you need to select the Export button. Once you select this option, you would see three different options such as Video, GIF and Still Photo. If you want to get a GIF of your motion photos, then simply select the photos and tap on to the three lined button and then select Export button and the choose GIF option from the given three different exportation options.

Since the feature is for power users, once you get an exported GIF of your motion photos, the size of the GIFs will be comparatively high than what the original motions photos are of. However, the GIFs would be much easier option to share a bunch of photos to your friends and other members available on your smartphone. They can simply get a GIF of your motion images which would be much more impressive than sharing the normal photos.

The process of converting your Motion Photos to GIF will take a couple of minutes of time to process the images to a single GIF. With this, you would get an output image with high-resolution at 768 x 1024 Pixels.

Apart from this, the new updated Google Photos 3.15 app brings a way to view all backed up Motion Photos with new category, filters and search option. The updated Google Photos app has got a lot of functionality with a bunch of new options to explore within the Google Photos application.

Well, this new feature isn’t available for everyone as of now, the feature is currently available to a certain number of markets around the world. However, we hope to see the same feature go live worldwide very soon.
