Google Lens is moving to Android’s native Camera App

Google’s own AI-Powered image recognition tool, Google Lens is back on the headlines. The giant is constantly updating their Google Lens tool just to increase the overall user interface and the users of the tool. Recently, Google Lens was made available within the Google Photos app. Today’s report suggest that the new Google Lens app is moving into the native Camera app of your Android device. 

Yes, you heard that right. The popular Google Lens tool is moving to Android’s native camera app which means you would be able to recognise a particular image and get the related details of it right within the Camera app of your Android device.

Google I/O 2018 is now rolling out a new update of the Google Lens application and according to this announcement, the app will soon be made available to use within the native Camera app of your Android smartphone.

During the launch, the Google Lens tool was only made available for the Pixel phones, however the giant is now moving on to other platforms such as iOS and other non-Android devices. The Google Lens tool is now integrating within the stock Android Camera app which makes the interface of this tool much easier for the users.

According to this announcement, the tool was first made available within the stock Android Camera app on the Pixel phones. Gradually, the same will be made available for other non-Google based Android smartphones.

Apart from this, Google is also rolling out a number of additional features to this Google Lens tool. The new update brings smart text selection, style-match with real time results. You can make use of smart text selection to copy and paste texts from real world to your Android application. You can also find a proper meaning of that particular world from the documents so you don’t need to search for the meaning of a particular world.

Moving on to the other feature, Style Match is kind of a very useful tool for the people who love to shop online. This feature lets you scan a particular item and it will show you proper links from the web from where you can explore the items and can purchase them instantly. All these new features are made available to the native camera app of your Android smartphone within the Google Lens tool.

According to officials, the new Google Lens integration on Stock Android Camera app will be made available to the following Android device. LGE, Motorola, Xiaomi, Sony Mobile, HMD/Nokia, Transsion, TCL, OnePlus, BQ, Asus, and the Google Pixel.
