Gmail is officially expanding their pay friends features on Gmail for iOS users. The new Gmail update on iOS platform now lets you send and request money from your friends within the app. Google had first announced this pay friends feature on Gmail on Android platform first about a year ago and today the same feature is now made available for the iOS users on the devices such as iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
With this new Pay Friends feature, user can send money to anyone with a proper email address. The payments will be sent and received through attachments within the app. The new pay friends feature is made available to the Gmail app on the iOS platform. In order to start using this service, you have to first update the app from the respective App Store for your iOS device.
In order to send money through Gmail on iOS, first you need to launch on a respective iPhone or iPad device. After this, click on to the Compose button. At the top right corner, you could see Attach option, kindly tap on to the Attach button. After this, you could see a menu there from which you need to select Send Money option. After this, you need to follow proper instructions. If you want to request for money, you just need to select Request Money option from the same menu by selecting the Attach option.
On the other hand, if someone has just sent you money on through Gmail for the first time, you just need to first open the message received on your device regarding the money which you have received. From here, you need to tap on to the transfer to the bank option. You need to enter the Debit Card’s details on which you want to transfer your money.
Google says that, you can send upto $9,999 with one single transaction or upto $10,000 in seven days. For now, the new Money Feature is made available in the United States. The company says that they are working for the same feature to be made available in other countries of the world. So we hope to see the same feature available in more countries.
Apart from this pay friends feature, the new update adds up new snooze function to the app. This new snooze feature lets you snooze emails so you can deal with the emails after sometime. The same Snooze feature was introduced by Google to their Android platform last month which is now available on the Gmail for iOS.
