Gigabyte is using the 90mm fan in order to cool the chip while it is being paired with three copper pipes. The fan is of semi passive type, which denotes that if the GTX 1080 is not under bigger load, it will be turned off and you can also overclock the card thanks to the software. Nvidia is on the way of reducing the size of these laptops and thanks to the Max-Q technology that the gamers are looking to build smaller desktops. This is not the first time that we have seen the GPU in a mini-ITX form, but the Ge Force GTX 1080 is definitely the smallest that we have seen in ages.
