Fortnite Battle Royale is now available on iOS, no invite required

The mobile version of the Fortnite Battle Royale game which was announced last month, is now available for public on iOS platform. Yes, the game has been released for the iOS platform and it is now available to install for free without the need of any invites. Fortnite has made an official announcement regarding the availability of this game for iOS platform publicly. 

The iOS version of the Fortnite Battle Royale game which was announced and made available through invites, is now officially released for the iOS platform free. The game for iOS platform is no different than the PC or any other consoles’ version. The iOS version of the Fortnite Battle Royale game has the same map, same weekly updates and same area to explore. You would not see any difference in the gameplay on the iOS version of the game. It’s a complete full version which can be explored through any of your iOS devices.

EpicGames have released this game for iOS platform with cross play mode with PC users. However, there are a few things which you should need to know before getting started with it.

Fortnite’s Twitter account has shared a tweet regarding the availability of the game for iOS platform. As per their official tweet, “No invite needed – Fortnite is now open everywhere on iOS. Grab your friends and jump in now!” You can find out the embedded tweet from here.

Before jumping on to the game, you should need to know about the compatibility of the iOS version. The game is compatible to a certain number of iOS devices and not for all the devices. Fortnite Battle Royale game can be played on the iPhone SE, 6S, 7, 8, and X. The iPad Mini 4, Air 2, 2017, and Pro. The iPhone 5S, 6, 6 Plus, and iPad Air, Mini 2, Mini 3, and iPod Touch.

According to the developer, the game will not support the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad Mini 3 and all earlier devices. The same will not be available for the iPod Touch devices.

Unfortunately, there is no any official support available for the iOS platform as of now. The work for iOS support has started and it will be available in a few days.

On the other hand, Fortnite has been highly profitable game for the Epic Games since the availability of the game for the iOS platform. In the first three days, they have earned around $1 Million from the in-app purchases which is indeed a very good thing for all of them. The data from the invite only versions of the iOS platform. Since the game is now released for public users, it will earn more from the other users which are now in millions.

However, the game will itself download the other maps and everything which weighs around 3.4 GB of size. So yes, the full version of the Fortnite Game for iOS weighs 3.4 GB. Before you start installing this game on a respective iOS device, you should keep at least that much space available on the device.
