Facebook is now testing the all new feature called ‘Add Voice Clip’. The giant is running a limited trial of this new feature which would be added soon to the stable Facebook app update. According to this new feature, users will be able to share a voice clip as a status update. Yes, you heard that right. Facebook will add this new option very soon which allows you to add voice clip within the Status update section.
The new Add Voice Clip feature first spotted by Abhishek Saxena on his official Facebook app, later on the giant has confirmed the same to various tech giants.
According to Facebook’s official spokesperson, “We are always working to help people share and connect with their friends and family on Facebook in ways that are authentic to them. Voice Clips gives people a new medium through which to express themselves.”
This new Facebook’s Add Voice Clip feature can be accessible through a brand new “Add Voice Clip” option which can be found in Facebook’s status update composer menu. This option allows you to record a short audio snippet which you can use a status update. Yes, you will be able to share your own voice as a status update on your Facebook profile to your friends and relatives and to the public profile.
Furthermore, user who start recording his voice using this feature will see a waveform of their voice being recorded, you can see more about the same in the above screenshots. You will also be able to preview the recorded voice clip, however you won’t be allowed to edit the clip once recorded.
Once shared, your friends and other users shared on your feed will be able to listen to the clip shared by you. While playing, users will see the waveform. For now, the Voice Clips seems to be limited, however there is no any confirmation on the length of the voice clip.
If we talk about the same, Facebook is already offering this voice sharing feature on the Facebook Messenger app. However, by now, you will also be able to share your own Voice Clips as Status Update on the Facebook’s profile. Sounds cool, isn’t it!
It makes sense how the social network giant is testing this feature in India where there are 22 different types of languages available. Being the second most populated country, almost all the tech giants are now aiming towards the country to gain more power. Google has recently added support for 11 Indian languages to their Gboard app. Facebook is now aiming for the same by letting the Indian consumers to use and test out their brand new Voice Clip feature.
Facebook seems to be testing out this feature in India where the user has found it live on his current Facebook app. There is no any concrete information regarding the availability of this feature to wider area anytime soon. The social network giant will announce more about the same very soon.
This would be one of the most interesting feature from the giant and people would definitely going to like it as they might use this feature on a daily basis instead of typing big sentences for updating a new status. We would let you update with more information about the same in future.
