Now, Facebook Messenger gets a new PayPal integration. Yes, Facebook Messenger lets you send money through PayPal to your friends and relatives who are there in your Facebook.
Since there are more people who are into Facebook and its Messenger app, they are expecting something new everyday from the giant. Since digital banking is taking shape in the entire world, Facebook has decided to bring a new payment gateway for the users with which they can send out money through their PayPal account via Facebook Messenger app.
When it comes to peer-to-peer transactions, PayPal comes first as the service is immensely popular over the globe with over millions of its users. This new feature will make you able to send or request money through Facebook Messenger.
If we talk about the official words, the company has said in a statement, “Whether it’s splitting a bill for a cab ride or a night out, paying for your share of the rent, or making sure you get paid back for mom’s birthday present, PayPal makes exchanging money between friends and family simple.” This makes it clear that this new PayPal integration will be more helpful for all the users who make online transactions.
PayPal has over 2.5 million accounts in the US which are already linked with Facebook. These 2.5 million accounts will be able to start using this services right away as they make transactions using the PayPal already. By adding Facebook’s platform, they will get even more familiar environment to get things done.
In order to send money through PayPal, you don’t need to have any special skills. Just go to your Facebook Messenger app and open a particular profile. To send money hit the + button and then hit the Green button of payments. Enter the amount and then you will show different payment methods. Just select PayPal option from the available option and you will be done. If you have been using a different methods to send money on Messenger, select Change button to change it to PayPal.
This is an interesting move made by these giants. If you don’t want to use PayPal’s official service platform, you can simply integrate it with the Facebook Messenger app. This way you can easily send money and can make transactions through your PayPal account. If you don’t want to share your debit card and other information to Facebook, PayPal is the best alternative option which you can use now.
This new PayPal integration feature is currently available on iOS platform only for the people of the United States. The same will be available for Android platform very soon. Sadly, there is no any official information regarding the availability of it on Android platform yet, however we would get to hear the same from the officials very soon. We are not sure whether Facebook will make this feature available for the desktop users as well. More information will be revealed in the coming days by the giant.
