Facebook brings ads in Instagram Stories


Facebook is currently working hard to upgrade its services in all the platforms. The giant is now learning how to earn from the platforms that recently acquired. As you know, Instagram and WhatsApp were acquired by Facebook a long ago. And now, the giant has decided to recover the money spent on acquisition of these platforms. As per the new reports, Facebook is brining ads in Instagram stories. 

Yes, you would get to see more advertisements on your Facebook feed and vice-versa as users of Instagram will be able to create their own advertisements through Instagram Stories. And the giant is already testing a new feature for Instagram that allows users to share their Instagram stories directly on Facebook feed. So, this way, Facebook will start offering advertisements space to all the Instagram users.

This also means that, Facebook advertisers will be able to access Facebook stickers, drawing tools, filters and more to design their own Facebook ads. Users will also be able to make use of Facebook advertisement to show up on Instagram.

In a nutshell, Facebook is testing out its Canvas ad format for Instagram stories. As you know, Instagram has over 250 Million daily users who are working with Stories feature, this feature lets advertisers offer more public interface with the Instagram Stories. People will get to know the brands through advertisements in their Instagram stories and they can even share it on Facebook’s feed as well.

In a blog post, Instagram writes, “With the ability to utilize Facebook’s fast-loading full screen Canvas format in Instagram Stories, marketers are able to use the creative versatility of Canvas to tell compelling brand and product stories.This seamless extension of the full screen experience allows advertisers to capture the attention of customers with just a single ad.”

If this feature went out for public, you would certainly see a number of ads in terms of stories which uses the same tags and filters and other tools that you are currently using in order to create your own Instagram stories. This way, the products will get more eyeballs and the advertisers will get more publicity through this platform. Eventually, the giant will earn more income to recover the money.

If we talk about the current scenario, Facebook has been testing out a few useful and innovative features to come in the upcoming update of their app for both, Android and iOS platform. Recently, we have reported that, Facebook is testing for Instant Videos and Private Profile, the giant is also working on a feature Tinder-like meet up to fix dates and meetings within the Facebook friends. The giant has recently made its online streaming service, Facebook Watch live for everyone in the US. Additionally, Facebook has decided to spend over $1 Billion to create more contents of its Facebook Watch.

So we could expect a few more updates from this giant which we all can use on a daily purposes. One interesting thing about this ads it they will look natural stories like you create and you will not be able to figure out whether they are ads or not. Advertisers will be able to use Instagram’s camera and other tools to create their ads through this new feature.
