What is Equifax?

Equifax is a one of the largest American credit agencies. The company gathers information about you without your permission and knowledge from banks, credit card companies and other sources.

In order to check if your account details and other private information including credit card, the company has launched its own personal website through which you can get to know whether you have become the part of this data breach or not.

This is not a simple way to check if your information was hacked, as you have to put some more private information to Equifax’s website in order to know about the status of your private information.

The process is pretty simple in which the website which was launched by Equifax will ask for your last name and last six digits of your Social Security number. After entering this information to the website, you have to hit the submit button at last. After a few minutes, you will receive a message on your cellphone number about the statement and the status of your data.
