With the advent of pricey phones with bezel fewer screens in the market, it is becoming much of a trend. With the launch of iPhone 8 in a couple of weeks, it would become an official thing and would be marked as a trend, making the bezel screen users feel like they are stuck on playing songs on DVD players. However, amidst all this chaos of pricey phones, there are many Chinese companies offering the same kind of phones for a much lower price. At IFA in Berlin last week, a small Shenzhen-based handset company named UmiDigi unveiled its S2/S2 Pro handset, and the design influences for the device’s front makes it clear that it is a clone of Samsung Galaxy S8.
The S2’s fingerprint is placed at a better place than that of Samsung’s and it is supposedly having a back screen better than that of Samsung. S2 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P25 and 4 or 6GB of RAM, filled with unnecessary bloat crammed by the Chinese phone companies into the phone. It has a 13 mp camera with amazing performance. The other highlight of the S2, aside from that 18:9 slim(ish) bezel screen has got to be the 5,100 mAh battery, which is expected to last for 2 days. This phone is available for just $230 when compared to Samsung’s Galaxy S8 which prices around $1000.
