Bharti Airtel to acquire Telenor India

It’s official! Telenor India which has a huge number of users is about to signing off. The Telenor India has seven service stations across the India in Maharashtra, Gujarat, UP (East), Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, UP (West) and Assam states. Recently, Bharti AirTel has announced an agreement with Telenor India about the acquisition. Since Reliance Jio is gaining more popularity with its amazing free data plans and other services, Bharti AirTel has decided to something on this and this news came up. 

Reliance Jio has crossed a mark of over 100 Million users single handedly. With this big news, Vodafone and Idea have also merged to provide a reliable 4G data plans to the users. Well, Bharti AirTel is also cooking something delicious to its existing users which has numbers in millions. If Bharti AirTel doesn’t fulfil the basic requirements of its users, they will definitely lose them as users can now portable their numbers to Reliance Jio to get all the benefits of it without changing the current number.

According to this agreement, all the existing users of Telenor and its databases will be taken by Bharti AirTel. Gopal Vittal, Managing Director and CEO (India and South Asia), Bharti Airtel, said, “The agreement underlines our commitment to lead India’s digital revolution by offering world-class and affordable telecom services through a robust spectrum portfolio spread across multiple bands.”

It’s all about the game of numbers. Currently, Bharti AirTel has 269.40 million subscribers across India while the Telenor India has around 52.5 million users. After this agreements, all the 52.5 Million users of Telenor will itself converted to AirTel and hence the number of AirTel’s subscribers will cross the 300 Millions’ mark. With this, Bharti AirTel has also announced some great news to the users who love to use the Internet. Bharti AirTel will also announce a few interesting data plans to use 4G services which is indeed a great steps to keep the subscribers stick to it. Otherwise, people are loving Reliance Jio’s networks and other services across the country.
