Avicii is Dead Aged 28. What’s the Cause of Death?

The Swedish EDM DJ and producer known as Avicii died at the age of 28, his official representative has confirmed this news. Avicci died this afternoon in Oman. 

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii,” the statement reads. “He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th.  The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.”

He has been facing some health issues since 2016 and for the very same reason, he had retired from live performance on the stages around the world. He has faced many health related problems since past three years such as acute pancreatitis. Due to excessive drinking, his health was not doing well and he had been gone through many medical treatments. He had his gallbladder and appendix removed in 2014 due to the same reason of drinking.

Avicii was hospitalised in March 2014 and cancelled many of his tour appearances due to bad health conditions. He had been working with other artists and was producing music in the studio for them till date. Avicii was one of the highest-paid DJs on the EDM circuit with some of the greatest hits.

Avicii was one of the most known personalities and he is known as a pioneer of the Electronic Dance Movement. He was one of the most successful musician and has most successful DJs in the electronic music industry. He had worked with artists including Madonna, David Guetta and Lenny Kravitz in his journey.

If we talk about the awards, Avicii took plenty of awards home including two MTV Music Awards, one Billboard Music Award. He was also seen in two nominations in the Grammy awards.

A few days before his death, Avicii was nominated in Billboard Music Award for top dance/electronic album for his own album named EP Avicii (01).

Throughout his music journey, he had served great music to all the music freaks out there. He had offered some of the biggest hits like “Wake Me Up!,” “The Days,” and “You Make Me.

Despite retiring from live performance, he continued to develop and work on his own music in the studio.

Sadly, a cause of death is still not revealed, however the investigation has begun on the same. We would get to know the exact reason behind his death in a few hours. We would let you update with the same!
