Apple to start shipping new Apple TV next week

Tim Cook, Apple CEO reveled that Apple TV is coming this month. The fourth generation Apple TV will debut next week. New Apple TV is taller and more powerful and also comes with touchpad remote. Tim Cook reveled this news at WSJ live interview.

32 GB model of the fourth generation Apple TV will come at the price of $149, whereas 64 GB model will cost $199. Apple will start its pre-order on Monday and the company is going start its shipment by the end of the week. Cook called this new Apple TV “the foundation of the future of TV.”

In the interview, Tim Cook also said that the TV experience is way behind the iPhone, so it needs to be modernized. The company is now focusing on improving its video streaming set-top box. He said that currently traditional pay TV is ridiculous and it has scope for improvement. It is confirmed that the more powerful and better fourth generation TV will be available next week.
