Beauty and Wellness app, Zapluk rasied angel funding

Yet another Indian Beauty and Wellness app, Zapluk has raised an unspecified sum in angel funding from group of angle investors including Ex-Managing Director of Apple India. The Hyderabad based startup will use this freshly raised fund to expand its operations and marketing plan as well as to grow its back end team.

Zapluk is an on-demand beauty, wellness and fitness portal that was launched in November this year by Manan Maheshwari, Mahesh Teja Gogineni and Chakradhar Dandu. This app allows its customers to book appointment for their homes at their preferred time. The company offers various services that include parlour facility, spa solution and grooming service at your own place.

The startup also has a review platform that shows the review of various doorsteps services. This will help customers to select services based on the reviews and ratings. According to the company, average price of the services is RS. 1,500 per day. The company has listed some of the top beauty and wellness brands like L’Oreal, Lotus professional, O3, VLCC, etc on its portal.

As of now, Zapluk offers beauty and wellness service for women, but the startup is planning to launch wellness services for men in next few weeks. Customers can book their appointment via phone call or its Android app. The startup will also launch its app for iOS platform pretty soon.

Currently, beauty and wellness sector is a hot market in India, as lots of investors are putting their money in this sector. Last Week, StayGlad raised unspecified sum in Series A round of funding led by Silicon Valley-based VC firm Bessemer Venture Partners along with Anil Chopra, former CEO of Lakme Lever.
