Xiaomi shipped 10 Million units of Mi Band

Chinese electronic giant, Xiaomi is currently fourth largest smartphone manufacturers in the world. The company has now become a household name, all thanks to its affordable and powerful products. Its smartphones like Mi 4, Mi 4i, Redmi 2 has become very popular in the nation and are still growing pretty fast.

In addition to smartphones, the company has also managed to make their mark in fitness band space. Its fitness band called Mi Band is pretty cheap and also comes with lots of features. This is one of the best fitness bands at this price. The device is a real value for the money. According to the company, it has shipped more than 10 Million units of its Mi Band in the first three-quarters of the year 2015. According to the report of DigiTimes, Xiaomi has shipped more than 600K unit in its Taiwanese market.

This affordable fitness tracker from Xiaomi started its shipment in August 2014 and according to the company, it has rolled out more than 10 Million bands in last one year. In addition to this, the company has also sold 1 Million units of its smartphones in the country. According to the report of IDC, the company’s Mi Band sustained higher volume in the third quarter with more than 97 percent of its volumes shipping into china.

Currently, the price of Mi Band is Rs. 999 and comes with IP67 certification. The device can track your steps, sleep, calories burnt and some other fitness activity while connected to Android app. Currently, Mi Band faces competition from Micromax’s Yu Fit band.

Xiaomi has already launched the second generation of its Mi Band named Mi Band 1S last month in China. The second generation Mi Band comes with heart rate sensors along with all the features of original Mi Band.
