WizRocket has developed an in app solution offers an evolved customer experience provides further enhancement to mobile marketing automation. They offer a free and scalable platform which enables brands to develop, target and engage their customers.

WizRocket claims of serving 350 customers with its platform and 20+ million users visitors each week. They have developed a SDK to install its tools, which tailors notifications based on user’s location and past interactions.  Nowadays customers depend on their smartphones for everything from messaging to shopping, push notifications has become order of the day and going to stay.

WizRocket - Funding - Main Feature 2Mumbai and Palo Alto based WizRocket was founded in 2013 by Anand Jain, Suresh Kondamudi and Sunil Thomas.  Suresh Kondamudi has graduated in Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2003.

He started his career as senior software engineer in Qwest Software Services in 2003. After a stint of three years he became Principal Associate, Developer in ngpay. He worked with the company for 5 years and became Senior Manager, Developer in Network 18.  He developed and built adserver that serves 30 million impressions per day. Suresh worked Network close 2.7 years and co founded WizRocket.

Anand Jain is co founder of WizRocket. He has graduated in Bachelor of Commerce from Sahajanand Arts and Commerce College in 1996. He has diploma in advanced computing from CDAC in 1998. Anand started his career as Business Partner and Software programmer in Compoint Computers in 1994. He wrote Advocate Client Management software in FoxPro. He worked in the company for 2.4 months and joined as Technical Manager in Cyberworld Technologies in 1997. Anand worked with Cyberworld for 8 months and became software programmer in Software Frontiers P Ltd.

WizRocket - Funding - Main Feature 3In Software Frontiers P Ltd, Anand Developed a 3 tier discussion thread server. He also developed a reusable web based application framework using Java ASP and Oracle Database. After working for 27 months he moved and joined as software engineer in Brience Inc. In this company, he developed mobile processing server and secure collaboration gateway.

Anand worked with Motorola from December 2004 to April 2006. He moved out of the company to co found Burrp, for which he was Chief Technology Officer. He worked in Burrp for 3.10 years and became Chief Technology Officer of Infomedia 18 in April 2009. Later he became Head – Engineering and IT for another group company Infomedia 18, called Network 18 Media and Investments Ltd in February 2012. He worked for 17 months in Network 18 and co founded WizRocket in 2013.

Sunil Thomas is co founder of WizRocket. He has technology expertise and experience in organizational and technology leadership. He has graduated in Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from University of Mumbai in 1991 and University of Washington in 2009.

WizRocket - Funding - Main Feature 4He has worked with several companies as Chief Technology Officer for Zephyr Software Inc in 1998 – 99, Infospace Inc from December 1999 to October 2009, Chief Operating Officer of Infomedia 18 Ltd from December 2009 to February 2012.

WizRocket secured seed funding of $1.6 million from Accel Partners in 2014 and the company has raised Series ‘A’ funding of $8 Million from Accel Partners and Sequoia Capital. The fresh funding will be utilized for the launch of an API for developers and a new engagement platform. WizRocket has clients like Freecharge, Pricebaba and Zovi.com

WizRocket has to compete with Urban Airship, Appboy and Localytics, however the company claims that there product have wider scope in segmenting, analytics and targeting. WizRocket plans to expand globally with strong focus on Indian Market.
