WishUp, an India based on-demand personal assistance app has raised seed funding from TracxnLabs, 500 Startups and Mato Peric. The round also saw participation from a group of angels through TracxnSyndicate.
WishUp, the on demand personal assistance app was launched in 2015 by Neelesh Rangwani and Vivek Gupta to help the users find best deals and services related to anything they need under a single roof.
With the investment raised, the Startup plans to get better in terms of technology to serve more users in the time to come and to provide them best user experience on and off the platform.
As the name suggests, WishUp lets the users create their to-do wish list, which might include the activities like sending a cake to your house on a particular date, sending gifts to your relatives on occasions like Diwali etc, calling cab just before your flight or train or booking a restaurant on your b’day or marriage anniversary. Everything can be set up as reminders well in advance and WishUp takes care of the list for you.
WishUp has been available on Facebook messenger as well as on a helpline number (+917676766666). Recently the company announced the beta launch of its android app and the iOS app launch seems to be around the corner shortly.
Speaking to media, Neelesh Rangwani, Co-Founder – WishUp stated, “We started with my personal Whatsapp number and scaled up to a 1000 requests per day within 1st month of operation. That’s when we validated the market potential and decided to come up with a more personalised platform on Mobile Phones”.
In a short span of time since the launch, WishUp has already registered over 10,000 customers. Currently, WishUp provides services in Bengaluru and NCR (National Capital Region). With the seed round, the company also plans to expand in more areas.
Speaking on the funding round, Prahadeesh Giridharan, Technology co-founder at Wishup said, “At Wishup, AI will be used at both the ends, a Wishbot which is at the customer end and an Opsbot which is at the operations end. Wishbot is autonomous chat bot that understands query intent and acts upon it for certain specific categories like phone recharge, cab bookings. Opsbot, on the other hand engages the users on behalf of operators when they are busy. It also helps in logging requests and categorising them automatically. These features are in development stage and will be rolled out soon.”
