Windows Phone 8.1 Firmware Update 1 brings Static IP support

According to one of the latest report, which claimed that the Microsoft and Nokia latest Windows Phone 8.1 Firmware Update 1 for the Windows Phone will bring the Static IP Support. This new feature will be available for both Developer Preview users as well Windows Phone 81. (Including Cyan Update) which will get the firmware update 1 in there Windows Smartphone.

This new firmware update will be rolling out to Windows Phone 8.1 handsets as soon as possible. The Static IP’s are important for some users, who use the feature as a security measure. With the help of this feature user can able to set the static IP(Internet Protocol) on his WI-FI network is a feature which can be enabled on a device by device basis by OEMs in Windows Phone 8.1 Smartphones.



This new feature first of all delivered to Nokia Lumia 625 users, then (according to the report) it will be available for other Lumia (including Nokia Lumia 520, 525 ,925 and all) and Non-Lumia Smartphones.

The Windows Phone 8.1 GDR Update1  is already available in the Developer’s Preview which brings many new features, including the folder, making option for the Windows based Smartphone and now this new feature will enhance the performance of the Windows Smartphone and also make more secure from hackers and other un-authenticated  peoples.
