Good news for those who are tired of using WhatsApp on phone. WhatsApp is now available in desktop/laptop version using web browser and is no more limited to phone. Using the world’s largest cross-platform instant messaging service, WhatsApp on web browser looks quite easy and user friendly.
All you need to do is click the three dotted button on the top-right corner of the homepage and select ‘WhatsApp web’ option on your mobile phone. Then log onto https://web.whatsapp.com in Google Chrome browser, a QR code would be flashed on the screen which has to be scanned using the WhatsApp mobile app to get started. The QR code is important as WhatsApp uses your phone number rather than usernames and password.
It has to be noted that the phone has to be connected to the internet for this app to work on the browser. If your phone dies, so does your WhatsApp web browser.
This app currently works for Android phones, Windows phones and Blackberry. Due to the Apple platform limitations, currently iOS users do not get to access WhatsApp through web browser.
The WhatsApp web client uses only mirroring technique to display the messages on the web and hence, all the message are live/stored on your phone.
