Whatfix receives funding from Helion Venture



Whatfix receives funding from Helion Venture Partners for $900,000 as seed fund on April 10, 2015. Whatfix is owned by Quicko Technosoft Labs P Ltd. The company runs SaaS platform under Whatfix brand. The platform facilitates users and businesses to create interactive help guides on their website.

It is innovative tool that enhances self service capability of web based products and applications helping companies to reduce support queries and improved user engagement. The platform has been named as Whatfix’s, for which patent is pending. The platform allows businesses and individuals to create support Frequent Asked Questions, training material and interactive tutorials. The applications can be integrated across all user touch points inside web applications.

Whatfix provide interactive step by step guidance inside applications and also embed slideshows, articles and videos. The company currently offers free version of community based and paid enterprise version of its service. Whatfix clients include Flipkart, Versature, D’Anger University, GreyTip and few others.


The company founded by Khadim Bhatti, Vara Kumar Namburu in 2013. Khadim Bhatti is the co founder of Whatfix. He has graduated in Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from University of Mumbai in 1998 and went to get Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology from Indian Institute of Information Technology in 2000.

He started his career in CMC Limited as Customer Support Engineer in 1998. He worked in CMC Limited for 15 months and moved on to become Project Manager in Huawei Technologies in 2000. He worked in Huawei for 5.8 years and become Manager for Technical Services in Applabs Technologies in July 2006.

He joined Kenexa as Program Manager in 2007. After he rejoined Huawei Technologies as Delivery Head – DPI and BI Solutions where he managed the portfolios for Huawei Central Research Division.


Vara Kumar Namburu M P K is co founder of Whatfix. He has graduated in Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 1998 and did his Master of Computer Applications from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. He is a certified programmer for Java from Sun Microsystems. He is a patent holder for contributing and using interactive help guides for web.

In 2001 he joined Huawei Technologies India P Ltd as System Architect. He joined the company as software engineer went on to become system architect.

After receiving seed capital Khadim Bhatti of Whatfix said “Today, people are looking for quick tips and directions and do not want to dedicate long hours in reading manuals or sit through trainings to understand a business. Whatfix’s platform is addressing this need by helping businesses and individuals create interactive guides that enable the self-learning capability of web-based products and applications,”


Alok Goyal, Partner, Helion Venture Partners said “We were impressed by Whatfix’s unique product, which has applicability for a very wide range of web applications. The team has demonstrated the ability to sell technology to enterprises of varying sizes, remotely, making the business very valuable.”

Apart Helion Ventures, GSF, Powerhouse Ventures and angel investors were also participated in this round of funding. Alok Goyal – Partner, Helion and Vispi Daver – ex partner, Sierra Ventures joined the board of Whatfix. Funds will be utilised for strengthening technology and increase sales and marketing of the company.

Whatfix has won $300,000 from South Korea’s Hanwha Group as prize money for startup demo competition in Seoul. GSF accelerator India has incubated Whatfix.
