Where on one hand Samsung is still busy in recalling all the Galaxy Note 7 smartphones back, on the other hand they have launched a new flip phone name W2017, which is a better and upgraded version of W2016 smartphone. The previous, i.e. W2016, was released last year. And the new 4K flip device has been unveiled in China mainland putting an end to all kinds of rumours that were going on since the month of June 2016.
This new W2017 smartphone is packed with all the latest features that one would want in his or her smartphone. However one bad news is that people living outside China cannot buy this flip phone as the phone is not available in any other country.
Talking about the design, it is clamshell based chassis which has been very popular among the fans in the past. Also, the phone is powered by Apex Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor which is assisted by 4 GB RAM. The internal storage is 64GB which can also be expanded with the help of microSD card.
The battery is decent with 2300 MH capacity. Is a flip phone the screen size is 4.2 inches which is HD as well as super AMOLED.
The phone packs 13 MP rear and 5 MP front facing camera. This is a dual sim phone and also supports 4G networks. There is also a fingerprint scanner which can be used by the user to unlock the phone easily along with rapid wireless charging.
However, there have been no details provided by the company about the price as well as the availability of this device in China. We don’t expect a delay in its launch in the market. The phone is not going to be very expensive and will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. One will also be able to use Samsung pay on the device.
Overall W2017 have same specs of Samsung flagship smartphone. And with these flip phone Samsung is trying to bring the charm of old fashion flip phones again among the new generation.
